The Marilyn Meier Chopn Award Important Dates

Monday 31st of Mar: Final date for upload of videos

The competition will be taking place in Brisbane, Queensland from June 20th - June 22nd 2025. The events are as follows:

Friday 20th of June: Lunchtime Recital + Masterclass for students at St. Peter's Lutheran College, Indooroopilly.

Friday 20th of June: Opening Reception at 7:00pm - Recital and Information Evening for the 20 Chosen Competitors.

Saturday 21st of June: Round 1 Recitals at the Sue Thompson Auditorium, QMTA. Each of the 20 Competitors will be playing 2 Contrasting Etudes and 1 Nocturne. 10 Competitors are eliminated at the conclusion of this session.

Sunday the 22nd of June: Round 2 Recitals at the Sue Thompson Auditorium QMTA. Each of the 10 Competitors will be playing 1 Polish National Dance (Mazurka) and 1 Major Work.

The Award Ceremony and Prize Moneys will be awarded at the conclusion of the session.
